Norm,
I think the problem is that this unit cannot compensate for much
roll, so it really does not have an independent 3-D axis mechanism.
The phase array will compensate for some roll, but maybe not enough
to be useful in an anchorage, but probably enough at a dock...

She told me it was tried on boats and did not work. She was incoherent
about why. Claimed it was made for cars and that boats moved too much,

doubt everything she said. I suspect I either got an ignorant
salesgirl or
else greed is involved and she wanted to get me to buy a more expensive
unit.
I was hoping there was someone on the list who has some experince
with this
