I got the Aetna Engineering tach from a subsity of Fireboy-Xintex.
I did have problems with the jerk that runs it. I was asked twice what engine I was going to install it on and answered correctly that it was an older Detroit, but they still sent the standard modern drive pin that did not fit my engine. The SOB forced me to buy the proper pin and would not credit me if I sent the wrong one back to him. When I complained he threatened to not send me the correct pin.
The tach does seem to work OK. The reading is a little jumpy but only a few RPM.

Norm, which digital did you go with. SV Tin Cup had the tach/hour meter replaced before we bought her in 2002 and I am a little concerned about the accuracy of this tach. It appears to be close, judging by engine sound/speed etc. but would be good to know for certain. Did you need to check the digital for accuracy?

free, just pay postage. I replaced it with a digital.
