    the general population. That's exactly why an earlier poster's suggestion
    to rally for a change in boat taxation laws is absurd. HOWEVER, boaters are
    the primary customer base (read: OVERWHELMING MAJORITY) among marine-related
    businesses. Even word-of-mouth communication within the cruising community
    can have a profound effect on the number of customers patronizing certain
    businesses.

    well if you are a boater and an internet user you may have heard of the web
    site FischerPandaSucks.com. that seemed to work as there became a flood of
    info about FP generators and others AND the guy who put up the site got a new
    FP generator sadly part of the deal was the removal of the site from the WWW.
     
    Also i think recently there have been big consumer issues sorted once there
    became a flood of info interchange on the WWW Ipods spring to mind
