    Take it easy David

We can debate at length off line.

But ... when you work with civil servants of any kind, you have to accept
their thought processes. They live by rules, regulations, guidelines. If you
ask your questions in the right way .. insistant but polite, suggesting
solutions or alternatives, and do your homework in advance, you'll get
farther than just accepting what the first 'official' tells you.

i would not rely on being lucky and finding
    >someone who was prepared to bend the rules to my benefit.

    Agreed

    >
    >As to Hooka's as a diver of more than 40 years they do serve a purpose

Mine is an oiless electric compressor, I would not trust a CO spewing engine
    near my air supply
    >
    >Certified clean meant exactly the same as new ->

    NEW = NEW

if you want to take chances don't complain when you get caught and get
    >a massive fine for smuggling and when you get caught don't complain about
    >the
    >situation you find yourself in

I am not suggesting Lee smuggle cigars. I am suggesting that if he were to
bring in a new engine in his luggage and customs did not search his bag, he
    would save +/- $600

    Peter
