Nope, no connection to them at all. But I did a lot of comparison shopping
when researching last year when we thought we were going to add a lot of
things to the Beneteau we owned at the time. Looked at Puerto Rico, USVI,
BVI and St. Martin. Prices in BVI were just ridiculous. Supposedly the
same Budget Marine company is located in St. Martin, St. Thomas and San
Juan. Not true. Each location is owned and operated separately. Only St.
Martin was well stocked and they also had the best prices by far. At that
time we were looking at a total of about 50k. A 10% savings on that amount
is worth sailing over to St. Martin and back to BVI.
The rigid bottom in the AB goes up higher at the bow than the other brands,
and they have less separation failures than the other companies. Plus I
love that bow locker. When we buy a new dinghy, that is the one we will
get. Our current AB is the older style without the bow locker.

Dinghies are also cheaper, especially in St. Martin. Freight from South
America where most of them are manufactured is less than all the way to the
states. The AB Navigo rib is better made than the Zodiac or Caribe and
comparably priced.

i am beginning to suspect your on commission with these people in St Martin
;-) but i do like the AB RIB dinghies :-)
