i would not put that on a charter boat they (the lovely charterers) will
kill your batteries rather quickly
keep things SIMPLE
and yes i know the inverter will switch off when it gets down to a certain
voltage but lots of other things wont.

so install one of the battery saver switches. They disconnect the entire DC
load circuit if the battery voltage goes too low.
Geeze what a poor excuse for avoiding having some real convenience on
board. If there is a technical problem there e is always a technical solution to
match.

i still think you want to keep things SIMPLE if these devices are so good
why do all the charter boats not have them?
every item you put on board a charter boat is just something else to go
wrong or need maintenance
technical problems in the caribbean are SERIOUS issues and finding someone
who is technically competent to fix it or even trouble shoot any technical
problems is not that easy.
just because this is your area of expertise it does not follow that this
device will be understood out there.
sounds like NEVER SEEN ONE OF THESE BEFORE lets bypass it or remove it -
gosh that has fixed it - and off the charterers go.
SORRY i for one dont buy your solution
regards
David
