My search for a future liveaboard and long-distance cruising boat has led me
to step foot aboard a 33' 1988 Watkins Seawolf. The 30-35' range seems to fit
me very well, and the interior layout of this boat is exactly what I wanted.
Indeed, before ever even hearing about this boat I had drawn my own
interpretation of the "perfect" interior layout, and this boat matched it with only
the most minor variences!

The rest of the specs are right in line with what I'm looking for in speed,
draft, etc. Online owner reviews tell of a sturdily built off-shore cruiser.
Have I mentioned the interior is beautiful? This boat is roughly 150% of my
projected boat-buying budget, but part of the reason my original budget was
projected so low was to leave room for interior modifications. While I may
switch the alcohol stove/oven for something else, I don't really see any such
needed modifications here. A wind-vane steering setup, solar panels, windmill...
that's all I can really see adding.
Does anyone here have experience with these boats? At least been aboard one?
I'm interested in know how well I can expect them to sail....
