I had a Crealock 37 and liked the canoe stern. Yes, stowage did suffer aft and the quarter berth was used for stowage most of the time. The boat's stern got shoved around by following seas, but not as much square stern vessels. You cannot use the stern for a swim ladder and mounting davits on the stern is feasible, but difficult, etc. The 34 is actually faster than the 37 in light air and under power - she has flatter sections and a more waterline.
Neither vessel has adequate stowage space and the reefer is next to the engine with less than claimed (4") insulation. The design is great and extraordinarily seaworthy. My 37 was built in 1983 by guys who must have been smoking dope because I had to redo all fairleads. There is evidence that systems installation has improved since they decided to use masking tape and silicone to suspend many of the wires in my boat.
