Income taxes are not there for us to write off losses, they
are there to
take some of our income. And that they do very efficiently.
Most people
pay over 50% of their income in taxes (federal ,state,
local,real
estate, soc sec, medicare,school, county, municipal,sales)
and then the
govt wonders why our savings rate is low, and why retireees
come to rely
on Social Security.
