Has anyone had any experience with the L16s? If so, what is your opinion of
the battery in light of the space and financial considerations. Did they live
up to the Trojan marketing pitch? Any ideas would be welcomed with the
exception of getting a larger boat. Ha!
I run two pair of L-16HC batteries in my house bank. The first set lasted
about three or four years, but I ran them hard, used them until they were down
halfway and recharged them with the genset.
My current set is being treated much more gently with the solar array and
windspinners keeping them up on a daily basis and not allowing them to be
discharged so deeply most of the time.
The main reason I bought the Trojan L-16 batteries is because they are the
most popular batteries among those folks living off the grid ashore as I learned
by reading Home Power magazine.
