How about aluminum and galvanized chain, Norm? I've got an aluminum Spade and galvanized chain. I do intend to anchor for long periods in the Keys this Winter. My other anchors are a galvanized CQR, a Fortress (Al) a SS Northill, and a galvanized Yachtsman that I probably not take. To make things even sweller, I've got a SS articulated swivel to protect the Spade's shank. Perhaps I can charge my batteries with this combo?

If you anchor a great deal, as I do, do not mix galvanized and stainless underwater. One or the other will be dissolved by galvanic action.
