I don't see why not, Norm. I have two separate hard drives in my computer. Both are 80G drives. When I set up the XP automatic backup I remembered it queried me where to "send" the back up. I designated the "F" drive as the target. Conceivably I could have sent the backup to the D drive but that would be useless unless I also remembered to keep a disk in that drive. I see no reason why the software can't be directed towards an external drive.
But I'm an admitted computer idiot so don't take what I say as gospel. I'm one of those who computer knowledge is just enough to make me dangerous to myself <LOL>!
