Next message: Steve Weinstein: "Re: lv-ab: Trojan L16H Battery"
I have been considering how to improve the house bank on our rather small liveaboard cruiser; i.e. space is critical. I initially made space for another pair of T105s in the space where the water heater was. We have cruised a couple of years now without the water heater, but as of now that has changed. The water heater is back.
I am now considering replacing another pair of T105s with a pair of L16s; the L16s are approximately the same footprint although they are taller by about 6 inches. They also weight twice as much and cost three times as much as the T105s. Their longevity is reportedlly quite a bit longer than the T105s if properly maintained and their 20 hr amp rating is twice the T105.
Has anyone had any experience with the L16s? If so, what is your opinion of the battery in light of the space and financial considerations. Did they live up to the Trojan marketing pitch? Any ideas would be welcomed with the exception of getting a larger boat. Ha!
Cheers.........
