    No, it is a very BAD idea unless you plan to do the job again when the
    plywood rots.

    Think Bill Sellar is on this list.

    He is in the process of rebuilding a deck with rotted balsa core on a
    Southern Cross 39.

    Let him give you the skinny based on his experience.
