MessageYou should disconnect this battery and put a portable charger on it. If, after charging, it still tests bad you should remove it. (If it tests good, you probably have a connection or cable problem) The bad battery will continue to discharge the other batteries. So... Then you have a 2 battery system, orig 510AH, still a lot of energy, you should NOT mix a new battery. How old are the Batts? Do you have a Link 10 or 20 monitor? It has an automatic efficiency factor setting, monitoring this figure (which starts at about 90% and goes down with age) will tell the real battery health. The other Batts probably are not perfect either, you need to see if they still will provide an acceptable time between charging while maintaining at least 12.2V, if voltage is allowed to drop below 12.2V, battery life is shortened. Check that your charging system brings the battery voltage above 14V MEASURED AT THE BATTERY TERMINALS. I assume that you cleaned all the terminals, I grease them to seal out air, check for warm cable ends while under heavy load or high amp charge.
I recommend books by Nigel Calder.

Subject: lv-ab: AGM Batteries
i've done a load test on my house battery bank (individually) and have established that i have one battery failing. I have currently installed 3 Lifeline 255 AH AGM batteries. They are quite expensive to replace - comments or suggestions ??
cheers,
