Eric got further than I. When it loads it asks to be default mail prg. I
answer no and immediately get a message that my password was refused at the
server. I cannot close out and have to use ctrl,alt,del to get out. I gave
up long ago on this.

I don't have this problem with Firefox. So it must be something in
Eric's configuration that is causing the problem, not in Firefox
itself.
