I remember someone mentioned a commercial grade paint
that they use to paint their topsides that doesn't
require sanding between coats because it bonds with
itself, much like Awlgrip. Any takers?
Any other suggestions on painting topsides would be
appreciated. I know this is a subject that has been
discussed recently but I can't seem to find the posts.
All the hardware is already off the boat (28') and I
am going to do the job myself with one other helper.
Right now I am considering using Awlgrip with the roll
and tip brush method. It doesn't need to be a mirror
finish, I just want something that will last 3 or 4
years (in the Texas sun) and not look too shabby. I
know that all the work is in the prep, but I've got
that part pretty much covered.
All of your experiences with this will be much
appreciated.
Thanks,
Enoch
