    I don't understand how that could be.

    The one I just bought -- Toshiba M45-S355, comes with
    a 75 Watt AC adapter, which not only runs the computer
    with everything operating, but also charges the
    battery at the same time. You get almost 5 hours of
    battery life out of it, depending on how you are using
    it. DVD and wifi take more power.

    Even their Pentium-4 based laptops only have 120 Watt
    power supplies.
