Sam,
My flat-panel tv, bought 3 years ago (digital research) stil looks fine, but
the tv tuner is losing it, doesn't change channels after 15 minutes, and the
remote sometimes works and sometines doesn't. So the Pyle unit seems perfect
to fix the problems just by plugging into the audio and video in, and
letting the Pyle do all the work, plus I can turf my 120v dvd player, and
replace the Kenwood am/fm/cd. Not to put you on the spot, but does anything
not fit, like does 'poorly engineered remote control' mean it doesn't work,
or just needs getting used to?

>At audioblowouts.com, I bought a Pyle PLTVD158 DVD player with TV Tuner
(they are even cheaper without the tuner) and a pair of PLMR52 marine
speakers for $199 total, including shipping (I do remember calling and
negotiating a bit). Other than a couple of weird things with the Japanese
owners manual and a poorly engineered remote control, the unit has
functioned flawlessly. Actually, I like it better than I thought I would.<
