    Dear Live-Aboards,

Almost three years ago we sadly lost one of our most active list
members, George Geist, for several winters my near-neighbour at East Shore
Marina, Frenchman's Bay. A few weeks ago I was helping a friend prepare
his boat for launching, and I was startled to find that the boat next to his
on the hard was George's boat, "Scaramouche I". I met the new owner, who has
plans to take the boat South for extended cruising, which George had very
much wanted to do but was prevented from doing by his health. See the link
on my little personal photos page,

            http://www.astro.utoronto.ca/~stefan/images/photos.html

Anyway, those of you who remember George may like to see this. I told the
new owner about the hard work George put into this boat, which is a really
fine little cruiser. It was quite a coincidence, because Frenchman's Bay is
on Lake Ontario and Penetanguishene is up in Georgian Bay.

                    Cheers,

                            Stefan
