Sam, just got back from TX and cleaning new boat. By my guess you must be
replacing 40-50' of hose. If the barbed fitting is a screw in adaptor you
can change it out for pipe size vs hose. If you do a search for "Banjo
fittings" you should find what you are looking for.

I am updating the sanitation hoses on Lady of the Lake. Most of the job has
been remarkably easy due to the smart layout of the boat and the easy access
to critical spaces. However, I am having a terrible time with one thing.
Does anyone have any secrets to make connecting the firm white sanitation
hose (or any hose for that matter) over a fitting with a hose barb easier?
I tried soap, vaseline, baby oil, vegetable oil with no success. I tied
stretching the hose but it is so firm. I know someone out there has a smart
idea that I am unaware of. Help! My hands are raw!

    Sam
