Am just back from 3 weeks on Vancouver Island. A couple of post on the
subject ... not as much response as one might have hoped to one of the
biggest safety issues in sailing. Interesting that they come from people
like Norm and sy-gilana !! :-)

Nice and simple, had'nt thought of it.

Has anyone ever tried to re-galvanize? It cost about $ 100 to do a 25kg
anchor and 30 meters of chain in Europe. Much less than replacement cost

I have a small fender and 10m of line tied a bit up from the last link so I
dont cut it by mistake. I don't think I would be able to find some line, tye
a decent knot to a fender and the chain if something big was bearing down on
me. For the cost of a used fender, I have one dedicated.
