Yes, and I think that is what almost always would happen, which is one
reason I don't do it that way. However, in the case of a sudden full short,
the fuse would open. So it could be a good thing. But even if one cell
shorted, I think it would just drain the batterys, and it would be hard to
size the fuse to do its job and not blow when it shouldn't. -Ken
