The article says that the sailboat "drifted away from its anchor"!
It also says that the two jet skiers bracketed the sailboat with one passing the stern and the other, the one who died, passing the bow. So in 10 years he hadn't learned to stay away from other boats. The article stated that he was a "certified operator."
It's a sad story, but it speaks volumes about the drivers and their attitudes.
