Thanks to Gene for a great idea. Also, several folks recommended solder
but this seems easier and less flammable. I called the local motorcycle
repair shop and they said they use a product called Kreem which is a
vinyl type solution that is poured in, sloshed around, and poured out,
leaving a sealed inner surface. I plan to buy some and give it a try.
