    Trying to work on a boat in the water is a total PITA.

    Find some land out in the boonies, if you can find it, and lease some space.

    Haul the boat and have it hauled to the space, add a small house trailer
    and get on with it.

    BTW, if you think you can get it done in a year, figure it will take 2,
    if you really bust your ass.
