It looks like i may have some hectic training opps coming up that would
require me to travel a lot, away from the, interspersed with a week to
three off at a time. Kinda the ideal for getting work done on the boat -
earn a bit of cash, have time off to spend it on the boat :-)
So, I'm thinking this over and realising I will probably want to leave the
marina - why pay slip and liveaboard fees when i'm gone as much as i'm
there?
The scenario i am mulling over is:
a) get a cheapo gas generator to run power tools when i am "home", moored
out, working on the boat.
b) travel a lot, amking cash
c) when i'm "home", work on the boat, or creep her southwards, or boat.
Taking into account:
a) hurricane season is starting and given that murphy guy (who *was* an
optimist ;-), if one hits, it will happen wherever i've moved the boat to
and I will have n onotice before i leave for a week or two that it's
coming.
b) my 'stuff' will be on the boat while i'm *not* - for extended periods
c) when i am home, i will likely need parts and supplies to do work on the
boat
So, how do i pick a good spot (or spots) to moor out?
thanks as always!
