when i looked at what woudl give the best bang for the buck i found that 6v
golf cart bateries where hard to beat at about $130 for 200amp/hrs @ 12v (2
of them)
you can paralel many batteries as needed... for my inverter bank, I used 8
golf cart batteries, paired in series to make 12v and then each pair
connected in paralel (4 pairs).
to even things out and spread the load/wear, connect them at each end, + on
one side, - on the other side of the bank
