Oh really? Then lets see you put that in your drinking fountain or take
a bath in it.
I have no experience with fresh water lakes, but I can tell you that seawater is a thin soup of biological matter, not pure salty water.
Here in St Augustine harbor there are, as of a few weeks ago, a herd of porpoise. The weigh several hundred pounds each. I imagine their poopie product is considerable. Add to them the thousands of birds, tens of thousands of fish and uncountable bugs and bacteria in the harbor and surrounding salt marshes and I can only imagine the poopie product discharged into the local waters must be measurable in tons per day before mankind ever appeared on the scene. Add to this the discharge of the local sewer plant, processing the poopie product of tens of thousands of people and I feel that the poopie product of the say 50 humans that are anchored in the harbor must be a very small fraction.
It is not possible to prevent folks from discharging black water. Even if the plumbing were strictly designed and inspected by stormtroopers, one could always, in the dead of night, open the pumpout deckplate and pump air into the vent to blow the contents of the holding tank overboard.
Allowing the use of ElectraSans in an otherwise no discharge zone can only improve the situation because, I feel, there are many of us that would use them.
