    The idea is to form a perfect 1/8" gasket with your bedding material by using
    little bits of 1/8" wire inserted between the object and the boat while the
    bedding sets up. You just put the wires in a little bit, say 1/8", after
    masking around the the object and the landing area and tape them down. After the
    bedding sets up firmly you pull the wires out and snug up on the fasteners.
