    Composting toilets have two problems.

    1. Unless you use a heater to help evaporation, urine may have a problem
    evaporating.

    2. You will want to have an exhaust fan continously removing noxious odors up
    a stack.

    If you can tolerate the electrical loads, and have room for the largish unit
    in the boat, a composting toilet may be just the thing. They do work very
    well ashore.
