We did just that, on our small boat, using foam insulation for the glue and
to fill the cracks between the block foam.
We also took off overheads and vertical covers and filled cavities where
possible.
First, despite our intention to make an inner surface cover, we never got
round to it so it always looked ugly although they were not readily visible
places.
Second, we didn't really notice any increase in comfort. I guess that
unless you can access a good percentage of the surface area the improvement
is there but just incremental in magnitude.
Regards,
Andina Marie Foster,
