Hi Sam, I can't really offer any hard facts on topsides paint. I've used Petit's easypoxy, but it does fade (especially the darker colors). I would suggest awlgrip as it's other charastics such as adhesion and durability far exceed that of any one-part paint I've used. I can only suspect that it may also be better in the fade resistance department. If you plan on keeping your boat in s. FL or the tropics, I would suggest that you reconsider using a dark color, though. The deck under black paint can actually get hot enough to damage the resin and foam of your cabintop, not to mention the added temps in the cabin.

I'm also in the market for a PDQ and would like to know how you like yours. Is your Lady of the Lake the former Techno Cat? or is it the other way around? I thought Techno Cat is currently available for sale at "www.pdq36.com" or is that just an old website that has not been removed? Is your port aft cabin set up as an office and if so, how does that work out? If I buy a pdq, I plan to re-do the aft port as either a workshop or office and have been looking for ideas.

    Thanks,
    JP
