A couple people have asked if we will be sailing this year, and the answer is that we have come to Floriday by car instead of a boat this year. Our boating adventures have so far just been ferry rides. Bob felt that coming back up the ICW last year was too stressful, and we didn't get much chance to sail last year in the Keys, plus he felt that the marina we were at screwed us over - I can't think of a more ladylike way to say that - so it left a very bad taste in his mouth.
We are staying in military-type housing and doing Armed Forces Vacations which is relatively inexpensive. We went to Ft. Story, the outer banks, Ft. Fisher, Charleston AFB, and we flew to New Orleans for a week plus a couple of days in New Iberia.
We are now house sitting for our daughter in Miami, and we expect to be in Titusville and Ormond Beach and the Everglades during January, Key West and Hilton Head and Charleston again in Feb, and Atlantic Beach and Ft. Story in March, getting back about March 16th.
