If you already have 1 Racor filter, Setting up for a dual filter system
means you just need to buy a second filter and some valves and fittings.
You don't need to buy the "pre-assembled" Racor. This setup shouldn't cost
more than the second filter, the fittings and a couple hours of your time

I can shut down my main engine and change my single Racor filter element
(size 1000) in less than one minute if I remember to have everything needed at
hand. I can restart the engine again before the prop stops turning.
I have an electric fuel pump to top up the Racor after inserting the new
element.
Keep in mind that you will want be able top up the Racor filter housing when
installing a new filter element, even in a dual setup. You could pour fuel
into the top somehow, or pump it in with an electric or hand pump. But you
will want to get most of the air bubble out. Keep this in mind when you think
about setting up these filters.
You will also want a valve to direct the filtered fuel back to the tank for
cleaning ("polishing"), and another to obtain a measure of fuel for cleaning
parts, and possibly another to isolate/shut-off flow to the engine.
You should also install an electric fuel pump (with a bypass valve) between
the tank and the Racor while you are about it and zero-center plus/minus 15psi
pressure gauges on the input and output of the filters to see when they
require (or don't require) changing.
This foresight and extra work up front will pay huge dividends some dark and
stormy night.
