    I don't think I would trust such a device except at very low speed and still
    maitaining a sharp lookout...

    I had the interphase forward looking sounder on my previous boat, nice
    little unit but it cna only show ahead 3 times the depth. (it could be 4
    but I think it's 3...) so .. in 5 ' of water, it can only show the bottom
    up to 15' forward of the transducer... not much help...
