In a message dated 04/11/2004 22:09:41 GMT Standard Time,
     writes:

    At
least ten warning calls were made on frequencies all air traffic under
worldwide instrument procedures, most especially airliners carrying
    passengers, are supposed to monitor.

OH YES warning were given "F14 on course xxx alter course" - do tell me -
WHY would the captain on an Airbus flying in an air corridor in his countries
airspace think that they were meant for him - come on get real.

i suggest you go read the reports of the cover up - he was trigger happy and
was dying to kill something so he could be a hero - he was not in
international waters he was Illegally in Iranian waters zooming around at 30 knots - a
country the USA was not at war with - the plane was a scheduled flight
following its usual route and climbing - hardly an attack profile for a FIGHTER F14
    - the USA only sold Iranians Fighter F14's not bombers - the guy was a
TOTAL ASSHOLE - i don't think you are but go get the facts please. Try inputting
the flight number into your fave search engine and understand what went on
Sadly an ASSHOLE and electronics TFU'ed big time

    kindest regards

    David
