IT wasn't that long ago that the raster charts were
free to download as well, then one day they
disappeared from the NOAA website, and lo and behold,
they were for sale for outrageous prices.
Same thing will happen no doubt with the ENC charts.
I think the only reason they are free right now is so
that people can develop software for them. Once there
is enough software out there, then watch them
disappear too.
