No, periodic deep discharge is a different process to equalization.
AGM batteries theoretically need equalization but the process would have to
be at a very low current over an extended time to avoid any gassing which is
destructive. I don't know how successful such a slow equalization would be
but it is probably safer to skip equalizing AGM batteries.
