The oil filled radiator style are great, they don't get hot enough to
set fire to stuff (like paper, dustbunnies, etc) but they put out their
rated power obviously. The spread the heat around the whole area of the
heater. You will probably want a fan to push the hot air around a bit,
    but they work very well.

We have a Wallas 40D I am (finally!) in the process of installing,
hopefully I won't screw it up too bad. We have no place to put a direct
radiating diesel, like a dickenson or the like, or we would have gone
that route. The Wallas is a forced air heater, but supposedly doesn't
have the maintenance problems common to the webasto/espar type. The
burner is totally different. We'll see.

One of our dockmates has the smaller 30 series Wallas, and it's been in
and out of the shop a lot, but from what I can tell, it's mostly due to
low voltage at the heater. I am planning to put in a DC-DC converter,
10-15VDC in, 13.8VDC out, to power the Wallas, so hopefully, that won't
    be a problem.

I never really understood how there could be things that would drive
you insane just because you knew them until I ran into Windows.
