I use two plastic rollers (each turns the anchor chain 45 deg producing what
appears to the chain to be a much larger diameter roller) sold to use as keel
rollers on boat trailers. These are the short rollers I bought at West and
have a V-shape. I use the orange plastic vs. the black plastic because they
are more expensive just seem tougher to me. I grease them yearly and use
    stainless bolts for axles.

My anchor is 110 lb Bruce and all 1/2" BBB chain handling a 60 ton disp
vessel. The current two rollers have seen constant service for one year and still
    work well.

The anchor handling "chute" consists of a hunk of channel iron with two
cheeks welded onto one end to carry the rollers. I also welded some strap to the
roller end of the channel to reinforce the part taking the most stress.
