    Oops!!! You are absolutely right about that -- do NOT
    use galvanized. The combination of diesel exhaust,
    seawater, and galvanizing, does produce some sort of
    nasty stuff.

    Something was tickling the back of my mind when I
    wrote that below, and now that you mention it, it has
    come back to me -- I did NOT use galvanized, but plain
    iron. So it'll rust quicker, that's ok. It's safer.
