For those of you thumping the book of "My personal responsibility" and
calling yourself responsible because you insure your boat.....
I think the truth is that you are covering your own a$$ets by opting for
insurance...or you have a loan on the boat and are required to insure it.
Nothing wrong with that. But don't make believe that you are looking out
for the rest of us...it won't fly.
You assume that you have the right to direct others lives in a way that will
cover your a$$ets...you don't. Stay out of my pockets!
Here is a vile offlist email I received.
"I second the responsibility issue. If you operate your boat without
insurance or the financial ability to pay for your mistakes you are simply
mooching off society. You can be indignant and call everyone else wrong but
I for one am not going for your lame excuses. You are mooching off the rest
of us just and I put people that do this in the same class as welfare
cheats and others that exist because the rest of us are paying their way.
It may not be illegal but I would not be proud of existing off the backs of
others." *Name Removed*
This person obviously does not subscribe to "live and let live". He is a
hard and uncaring person that has no place in his heart for people that have
bad circumstances or bad choices affect their lives. He does not care about
the law only his own philosophy of how the "rest" of us should live our
lives.
To him and the rest of you that want to decide how I or others should live
their life for your sake...STUFF IT !
