So, pray tell. If you ever hit my boat, and it is your fault. How do you
propose to pay for the damage???
Or, your vessel grounds, leaks out all the out all the oil/fuel. And
causes an environmental problem. How are you going to pay for that?
Or how about this, you are uninsured, the other guy is uninsured. He hits
you, his fault. He sinks your vessel. And you will loose everything.....
Or I hit your boat, and I am insured. I guess you do not want damages. Hey
you are not insured, so why would I pay for your damages because I am
insured?
and before comments like 'defensive' boating are made. In most cases above
this can happen when you are at anchor. What are you going to do than?
Plant mines so nobody can come close?
Accidents happen, it does not how good you think you are.
We have had this discussion before on the list. And it amazes me that
there are people out there with a vessel and no means to pay for any
damages they cause.
