    Yes, although product water is best and distilled would be (expensive)
    second best, by the time you add those pickling chemicals you could use piss
    with no problems. Tap water is OK and I've used the filtered raw seawater
    many times.

    Yes you can use it to top off the batteries.

    Keep in mind if living off watermaker water for an extended period that you
    should take mineral supplements to replace what you normally get in tap
    water - vitamins with all the minerals included will do the job.
