I have a quick? question - I've been living aboard since last november
(loving it!) and am finally moving all of my stuff aboard, closing out
    the storage unit, etc.

I want to keep my surfboards onboard, but havent figured out the best
place/way to store them. I put them in board bags, lashed (vertically)
to the stanchions/lifelines on the non-dock side of the boat and that
seemed fine. Wehn i removed them in preparation for Hurricane Charley,
though, i noticed that both bags are wearing along the edge that touches
    the deck.

Is there a better place/way to stow them?

    thanks,
    jim
