try getting a quote for various times of the year. there are such things as high and low season for shipping. my first quote was $12,500 for my tri of 36 X 20 in october. i opted for a february date at $8,000 which was considered low season for shipping from europe to the usa. i do admit that they have changed the pricing structure since i shipped but it should not turn out to be that much of a difference.
just my thoughts.
