Here is one for home builders

Steve Callahan (Adrift) designed a dinghy called the clam. I don't know if
it is still in production but here is an article about it - maybe you can
search it out

I'm always looking for an alternative to inflatables... with a
particular interest in sectional dinghies (for smaller stowed
footprint). saw this nifty design online
http://www.deftdevelopments.co.uk/
but its weight (110 lbs!) rather disqualifies it for the singlehander
or the small boat w/o davits or heavy lifting tackle.
does anyone know of other neat sectional designs, preferably a bit
lighter?
