jeff, actaully going around in a plane is easier... just go up... no docks,
piles, rocks, jetties, boats... to hit :-)
good point on not having anyone standing on the runway.. although...I used
to fly out of St Barths in the carib... 2000' runway, downhill, ending up on
the beach and tourists would routinely stand on the edge of the concrete :-)
revenge was to use a lot of power when turning to back track, sandblasting
them:-)
