Unless you're on a boat with a skipper who is one of those "jet parkers", and you are one of those fools who put an arm or leg out thinking that they can stop the boat. I have seen quite a few of them crush limbs and fingers that way. There is more than pride hurting there.

well it's true... mess up the approach in an airplane and you got to work
real hard to make up for it... same in a boat... although the consequences
are usually less severe in a boat.. except for the skipper's pride :-)
